Beyond the Box apologized to customers after encountering supply issues during its massive sale event.
It previously announced that it was holding a 70% off sale on selected Apple products and other deals starting September 15.
The retailer, however, got more than it had bargained for.
In its Facebook post, Beyond the Box stated that customers can avail the discounted items at Beyond the Box’s participating outlets and official online stores on Lazada, Shopee, and its official website.
The slashed prices were also offered at a limited time only and stocks would vary per participating store.
On the actual sale day, however, Beyond the Box management issued an apology, admitting its branches were not allocated enough supplies for the event.
“We deeply regret to inform you that due to the rapid surge, stocks allocated in each participating store were not able to meet the demands of our customers. This led to certain Apple products being unavailable on our shelves,” the retailer said.
“We understand that this situation may have caused frustration, and we want to extend our heartfelt apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced,” it added.
Beyond the Box assured its patrons that its people are working on its inventory “as quickly as possible.”
“Once again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we request your kind understanding at this time,” the statement reads.
Some Filipinos continued to express their ire and frustration against Beyond the Box in the comments section of its posts.
“Ang aga ko pumunta ubos na agad…edi wow,” a customer on Facebook said.
“Parang laging misleading mga promo. Either laging walang stock or iba yung price like what the bye!” another customer on Instagram said.
Some of them also complained that the links provided in Beyond the Box’s posts were inaccessible.
