Filipino “Swifties” went international again, this time, topping the worldwide search interest for Taylor Swift on Google.
In the latest data from the search engine giant, the keyword “Taylor Swift” scored 100% in the Philippines from July 2 to 8.
Google cited the release of Taylor’s “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” on July 7 and the ticket sale for the Singapore stop of her “Eras Tour” on July 5 as reasons behind the spike in online searches for the American artist’s name during that period.
The Philippines surpassed Singapore, the only country host of Taylor’s “Eras Tour” in Southeast Asia. It also surpassed other country stops of the concert slated in 2024.
The top five countries where Taylor has a high interest over time on Google search are:
- The Philippines – 100%

- Metro Manila – 99%

- Bicol – 92%

This means that the search keyword “Taylor Swift” dominated other Google topics and goings-on of interest in the Philippines and in other top regions and countries.
“The stat normalizes the overwhelming amount of search data by properly contextualizing it with times and locations,” Google said in a statement.
The Philippines also topped Singapore and China in Klook’s list of countries with the highest buyers of its exclusive “Taylor Swift experience” packages.
Singapore came in second and then followed by Indonesia and China.
Klook, a popular traveling application, launched promotional deals comprising Singapore flight tickets and tickets for Taylor’s “Eras Tour.”
All the packages sold out within two hours they went on sale on the app.
